Oxford College of Nursing Eligibility Criteria for D.G.N.M.:


The eligibility criteria for admission to the Diploma in General Nursing and Midwifery (D.G.N.M.) course at Oxford College of Nursing are designed to ensure that students entering the programme have the right educational background and aptitude for a career in nursing. Elaborated below is the eligibility criteria for the diploma course in G.N.M. at Oxford College of Nursing:


Education Qualification

  • Must have completed 10+2 or its equivalent in English, with a minimum aggregate of 40% marks in the qualifying examination and English from a recognised board/ authority.

Or

  • Must have completed the vocational ANM course with a minimum aggregate of 40% from a school recognised by the Indian Nursing Council, provided 10+2 was pursued in English.

Or

  • Must have completed the vocational Stream-Health Care Science with a minimum aggregate of 40% from a school recognised by the CBSE board/ Centre, provided 10+2 was pursued in English.


  • Candidates from State Open Schools and National Institute of Open School (NIOS), recognised by the Central Government, are also eligible. However, students with a Science background are preferable.


  • Candidates must be medically fit

Age Criteria

  • Must be minimum 17 years of age at the time of admission (by 31st of December of that year).


  • The upper age limit is 35 years. 


  • For ANM/ LHV, there is no age bar.
