KNSIT offers an undergraduate Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) course. The 4-year B.E in Computer Science and Engineering course is approved by AICTE and affiliated with VTU. The main objective of the course is to effectively train computer science engineers and entrepreneurs to be competent and meet industry standards. The CSE department has state-of-the-art infrastructure to support academic, research, and extracurricular activities for the holistic development of students. Students are taught by well-experienced, qualified, and skilled faculty. 

There are hands-on workshops, guest lectures, seminar talks, and faculty development programs organized regularly to focus on the recent trends in the industry to benefit faculty and students. The CSE department hosts the national conference “SKITE’’. The conference offers research and developmental opportunities to research students and scholars from different colleges nationwide. 

Students are encouraged to participate in sports and extracurricular activities for their holistic growth and well-being. There is a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the CSE department and the leading IT industries and international journals. There is a proactive proctorial and mentoring system that vigorously meets the requirements of students and hosts parent-teacher meetings. The alumni network is active and hosts regular meetings, nurturing a strong sense of community among graduates.
